Would You Just Let Someone Take What Belongs To You?

No? Me either. So, why is it, then, that we are continually
letting people do just that?

Maybe you came home from school one day and couldn’t wait to
tell your Mom or Dad about a really neat idea you had for
something that was so cool, it would probably make you rich or
it could make the world a better place. But before you could
tell them, you told a friend who laughed at your idea and told
you that it was a stupid one… it could never work… you weren’t
smart enough to think it up on your own…etc. So, you decided to
forget about it and not say anything to anyone else.

How about the time you wanted to pursue that dream you’ve had
for such a long time. Only to have it shot down when you told
your spouse about it.

Do you know why people try to steal your dreams? It’s because
they don’t have any of their own! That’s right. They are
unhappy, unmotivated people. More than likely, they’ve had their
dreams knocked down once or twice in their life and never
recovered from it. They just stopped dreaming.

You might as well stop living if you’re going to stop reaching
for something higher. Don’t let someone else’s small minded
thinking keep you from achieving higher goals for yourself. Take
back what belongs to you and start living your dreams.

As my late father would say, “Don’t let life happen. Make it
happen!”
