Background on Eric Sedler’s Achievements

Eric Sedler is a managing partner and one of the founders of ASK Public Strategies, a Chicago-based issue administration company.

Before he co-founded the firm, Eric Sedler administered AT&T regional corporate public relations departments in Atlanta, Miami and Chicago, branches. He supervised AT&T’s public relations operations in the southeastern and central United States to acquire an approval for its cable systems. He also provided oversight on AT&T’s communications for updating Ohio and Michigan’s state laws.

Prior to AT&T, he worked at Edelman Public Relations, doing reputation management. There, he managed public and media interaction programs and later established campaigns in insurance, health care and telecommunications areas.

Before he went into communications organization, he worked under local, state and national officials for almost 10 years.

Eric Sedler was also a chief affiliate of the Issue Department under Michael Madigan, an Illinois House Speaker. He was in direct assistance with the House direction and state representatives improving the caucus agenda through the implementation of communications programs. In support of the legislators, he was appointed with a duty to manage communications programs that resulted to a wide news exposure for them.

He frequently appears as a guest spokesperson tackling matters on administration and communications issues, lecturing at Loyola University, University of Illinois at Chicago as well as University of Chicago.

He has also been given awards such as the Publicity Club of Chicago’s Silver Trumpet Award and the Public Relations Society of America’s Silver Anvil Award.

Nathaniel J. Lipman

Nathaniel J. Lipman, currently the president and chief executive officer of the Affinion Group, received his B.A. degree from the University of California, Berkeley in 1986. He pursued his law studies at the UCLA School of Law and took home his Juris Doctor (J.D.) in 1989. One of his earliest professional exposures was with the House of Blues Entertainment, Inc. where he served as the company’s senior vice president and general counsel. He also worked for awhile as The Walt Disney Company’s senior corporate counsel. After his stint with the House of Blues Entertainment, Inc., Nathaniel Lipman went to Planet Hollywood International, Inc. where he performed the responsibilities of a senior executive vice president for Corporate Development and Strategic Planning. He stayed with the consumer brand developer from 1996 to 1999. From Planet Hollywood, Nathaniel then moved to Cendant where he became the senior vice president of business development and strategic planning for the company’s Alliance Marketing Division. From March 2000 to August 2001, he served as the executive vice president of business developments for Cendant Membership Services. For Trilegiant, Nathaniel Lipman held practically the same position as the one he had at Cendant. Nathaniel Lipman did not stop there, though. He went straight ahead and explored what else he could attain. Eventually, he rose to the position of chief executive officer and president of Trilegiant. On October 17, 2005, a completely new world opened up for Nathaniel Lipman when he joined the Affinion Group. The Affinion Group is a global company that offers innovative marketing activities that help improve both customer relations and revenues. Affinion boasts of over 35 years of experience and revenues estimated at more than $1.3 billion. Nathaniel Lipman and his wife support The EQUUS Foundation, a group of people and organizations dedicated to helping horses.
