Miley Cyrus Miss A Little Bit Of Briney Spears With Lesbian Kiss
Monday June 07th 2010, 3:42 am

Miley Cyrus could have thought wearing a skimpy outfit, a black corset with ripped fishnet stockings and open toed black high heel shoes for a family-friendly audience in Britain’s Got Talent wasn’t enough to surprise the spectators.
She had to team it up with lesbian kiss. The seventeen years old is on the promotional tour for her last album can not be Tamed is touring Europe. The show is produced by Simon Cowell and no comments were taken from the fellow about the singer’s performance.
Miley performed the “Can’t be Tamed’ and pretended to kiss one of her female background dancers. Though she didn’t carry out precisely what Madonna and Britney Spears did in 2003 MTV Awards.
Miley and the dancer only thrust the lips towards one another. On June three, at Britain’s Got Talent while each one was expecting a Hannah Montana performance, what the fans got was the message the 17year old can’t be tamed and doesn’t would like to be.
But this isn’t the 1st time that Miley has gone OTT with her escapades. She has come away from her squeaky-clean Hannah Montana nextdoor girl image. Last week (May 29-30) she wore a skin tight leotard onstage.
That was for the onlookers who needed to make out ‘everything’ the frontman own, the outline of her body was so notable that people were surprised. Miley has been or long now hollering out to claim that he has come-of age. But the things which she does will certainly influence her fan-base that too not in an exceedingly good way. Her raunchy moves, racy videos, both non-public and public are only tainting her image and are being compared to another ex-Disney star Britney Spears. So is Miley going to go the Briney Spears way?

Legal Alternatives Would Restrict Digital Piracy
Thursday April 15th 2010, 5:00 am
Filed under: Caveat Emptor, Living With Telecommunication, Music + Instruments

People are not aware of alternate legal possibilities for downloading copyrighted material, and this is one of the probable reasons why they resort to illegal downloads, according to a government focus group that investigated the reasons for digital piracy.

The Consumer Focus group that looked into this issue is sponsored by Peter Mandelson’s Department for Business, Innovation and Skills. It recently announced the results of its survey which revealed the startling fact that out of almost 2000 adults who were surveyed, only sixty percent knew of sites that offered lawful download services like iTunes or Amazon. This, according to the focus group shows that digital piracy is actually a direct cause of the music industry’s inadequacy to promote legal digital music services with the customers.

Jill Johnstone, who is the International Director at Consumer Focus, opines that the music industry is digging its own grave by not highlighting the lawful online music services. As the music industry is of the opinion that file sharing is behind this issue, and then it should try to focus on promoting the possible lawful choices. She states that the music industry, before choosing to opt for legal enforcement against file sharing sites, should focus their energies towards promoting legal alternatives, and make show that customers know that such sites exist.

The group has also made some recommendations, like suggesting a greater number of business models related with legal digital download services, reform of UK’s copyright licensing so that it becomes far simpler for music services to offer access to lawful downloads. This suggestion would be welcomed by the consumer rights groups, as they would see it as a possible option disconnecting repeat offenders. However, the conclusion that people only download illegal material as they do know of legal options seems improbable, at best.

The Use Somebody hitmaker’s fashion line showcases their distinctive checked shorts and leather jackets. The range will hit the markets of Denmark in December 2009

All of the Kings of Leon are big sports fans and as was the case with Nathan, their love of the Sooners stood out for most of his bandmates’ choices. Nathan’s brother, lead singer Caleb Followill, chose football great Billy Sims, who won the 1978 Heisman Trophy and was a two-time consensus All-American (’78 and ‘79) for the Sooners.

Concert Tickets Online - It Pays To Think Outside The Box Office To Secure Those Ultra-Hot Seats
Wednesday April 16th 2008, 4:44 pm

Getting seats at face value has become far more difficult. Shows for big-name acts sell out in minutes at the box office, whilst most of the best seats aren’t even offered to the public.

If you not lucky enough to be a season ticket holder, or a member at the venue where the concert is being held and you have no intention of waiting in queues for hours then what other options are there?

After a show has sold out, you can still get seats. Ticket prices will generally be higher, due to the free market the holder of tickets may sell at any price they wish. This price is generally determined by the popularity of the event, amount of tickets available and the demand of the tickets.

Many people go to eBay, which has a great deal of tickets being offered for sale. Once again, these tickets are being sold by individuals who may ask any price the wish. Most tickets sold on eBay are sold buy auction, where the price is determined by the highest bidder. Its worth bearing in mind when buying tickets through eBay these tickets could be stolen, counterfeit, or in the case of tickfast, tickets sold to more than one person. In any of these cases, you are going to miss the show and be out of your money with nowhere to turn because the person who sold you the tickets can not be found.

The better option is ticket brokers. These have a large selection of tickets for you to choose from. Try Superior Tickets, www.superiortickets.co.uk, a reputable ticketing agency based in the UK. They are renowned for selling the best seats on the internet, with a clear and easy to navigate website, it makes finding the right tickets easy! There is also the added security that if any problems should arise with you purchase, they will be there to help and they guarantee all tickets they sell.

How To Write A Song
Sunday March 30th 2008, 12:18 pm

Did you ever wish that it was your song playing on the radio? It could be. It is not that hard once you know the formula. With a little creativity, a little knowledge, a little luck and a good formula to follow, your song could be one of the next biggest hits.

Songwriting comes easy for some, and is very difficult for others. I have actually written songs in my sleep, and immediately upon awaking, written it as quickly as I could get the words on down on paper.

What I want to discuss here is popular songwriting, like the songs you hear on the radio. A good pop song, whether rock, country, middle of the road, is composed of two things: a catchy tune and some good lyrics.

There is a formula that most great songwriters use to write great songs. It regards the structure used to write a song. Granted, it is music and it is art, so the rules are not hard and fast. But if you want to increase your chances of getting your song on the radio, it is a good starting point.

Here is the formula. Verse, chorus, verse, chorus, bridge, chorus.

Write that down on paper leaving plenty of space between each word and this will be your script.

Verse

The verse is the part of the song that tells the story, the part that leads to the chorus. Each verse is usually different, telling a different part of, or adding to, the story. It usually explains how you got to the things you are singing about in the chorus.

Chorus.

The chorus is the part of the song that is repeated after each verse. The lyrics are usually the same each time the chorus comes around. The verse usually leads to the chorus, and the chorus is usually the pay off for listening to the verse. Does that make sense?

Here is a lame example (you did not think I would give you my best work, did you?):

(verse)
My dog is sick, he’s got a tick
He’s my best friend, don’t let it end

(chorus)
Oh, woe is me, can’t you see
Woe is me, will I ever be free

(verse)
My car broke down, just out of town
It got towed in, but it’s broke again

(chorus)
Oh, woe is me, can’t you see
Woe is me, will I ever be free

Now, if you would kindly stop laughing at my lame song for a minute, I want you to think about whether or not you understand my point. Songwriting is story telling. The verse tells the problems, the chorus expresses the results or the emotions.

All right, now that you have that mastered, let’s tackle the bridge. Ah, yeah, there is more to the song than the pain and the release. We need the diversion. That is what the bridge is; it is the diversion from the verse and the chorus.

The bridge may have a slightly different melody to it, or it could even have a different rhythm or a different tempo (Elvis’ “Suspicious Minds” did a great job on this technique).

Let’s go back to the lame song and add a bridge:

(verse)
My dog is sick, he’s got a tick
He’s my best friend, don’t let it end

(chorus)
Oh, woe is me, can’t you see
Woe is me, will I ever be free

(verse)
My car broke down, just out of town
It got towed in, but it’s broke again

(chorus)
Oh, woe is me, can’t you see
Woe is me, will I ever be free

(bridge)
Tomorrow is a better day, I’ve got a new truck on the way
My dog just had a flea it seems, so once again I’ll live my dreams

(chorus)
Oh, woe was me, can’t you see
Woe was me, but now I’m free

The bridge offers a solution to the problems I was having. You don’t want to leave your listener on the edge of suicide, you want to give them hope.

Notice, I also changed up the wording of the chorus. This was done to reflect my new found joy.

One more thing on formula. It can be anyway you want, but most verses and chorus come in lines of 4. So, instead of this:

(verse)
Oh, woe is me, can’t you see
Woe is me, will I ever be free

(verse)
My car broke down, just out of town
It got towed in, but it’s broke again

it would be:

Oh, woe is me, can’t you see
Woe is me, will I ever be free
My car broke down, just out of town
It got towed in, but it’s broke again

The same goes for the chorus. Again, if you are creative, do it however you want. But for a new songwriter, this gives you some guidelines to scratch out and start carving out your new creation.

One more thing, do not make the notes to the melody so high that your fans cannot sing along. We are certainly all not Stevie Wonder.

Why all the fuss about Chord Piano?
Friday March 28th 2008, 1:12 pm

As I’ve said in a previous article, Chords are the easiest way
to play and the simplest way to embellish your playing.

If you have no illusions of grandeur and you just want to play
your favorite songs on the piano or accompany your friends, even
your church, chord piano is probably the solution for you.

Chords are three or more notes played together. Chords are also
very mathematical, but don’t worry. Those of you that are not
comfortable with math will relax with the knowledge that it is
not necessary to be proficient in the math to excel at chord
piano.

Chord Progressions, or sequence of chords, are part of what give
certain styles of music their peculiarities. And what help you
to know that a song is ending or even beginning.

Chords are usually used to provide the harmony you hear in
music. That is why they are especially effective in accompanying.

Many people that play chord piano are able to play a full
sounding piece from just chord symbols such as C7 or Eb or even
Roman Numerals such as I and V7 .

Those that play chord piano often find that they are able to
play piano by ear and pick up chord progressions in their
favorite songs.
